WHY HIGH LINE VBC?
High Line VBC is an organization devoted to player development and making players the best they can be. We run the club to raise the general level of girls volleyball in the area. High Line VBC stands behind Positive coaching. Our goal is not to make this club as BIG as it can be, rather ensure that the program is high quality, using only coaching staff that follows a positive coaching methodology.
Our teams are designated specifically to get players additional, quality experiences, strive for scholarships for college and ensure that we can help each young player reach their goals and potential. High Line has had many Division I, II and III collegiate players and continues to build great players through the players efforts under the coaches' guidance.
CLUB FEES
High Line understands that every dollar spent is earned. However, most people do not realize where the money they put into a club is ultimately spent on and for the club. High Line strives to keep costs as low as possible.
Club fees pay for a number of things which are:
1) Uniforms
--BLACK TRAVEL TEAMS(2 jerseys, 2 t-shirts, 2 shorts, warm ups including top (probably hoodie) and pants, backpack or bag, socks (2 pair), and knee pads.
--BLUE TRAVEL TEAMS(2 jersey, 2 t-shirts, 2 shorts, warm ups including top (probably hoodie) and pants, backpack or bag, socks (2 pair), and knee pads.
--WHITE TEAMS(1 jersey, 1 t-shirts, 1 shorts, warm ups including Jacket and pants, backpack, socks (1 pair) and knee pads.
2) Practice facility
3) Equipment
4) Tournament fees-Local and Multi-Day.
5) Lodging for travel tournaments WILL only be included for the Penn State Happy Volley tournament. ALL other lodging WILL NOT be included
6) Room and Board for our coaching staff at the travel tournaments.
7) Coaching stipend to offset coaching expense. Things like travel expenses, meals, educational opportunities are reasons for the stipend. By no means do the coaches 'make' money. We just try to offset their costs for the season (ie, gas, food, etc) as the season progresses.
9) Various other expenses, such as administrative costs (ie, web site hosting, etc), team registration with the KRVA, coach registration, etc
High Line does not offer a fund raising opportunity, but has good thoughts on things folks have done in the past to raise money.
The fee will be due IN FULL at the time an offer is accepted. Due to past experiences, there can be no exceptions to this rule.
TRAVEL COST INFORMATION
The COST of the upcoming season dues for our BLACK will be $2000 (+ $150 if Capitol Hill Tournament is chosen) all inclusive this season (based on 10-11 on the team. Our BLUE teams will be $1800. If only 8-9 players are selected to either a team, the cost will increase per player $150 per member.
The only thing that parents are responsible for are food during tournaments, lodging for the travel tournaments, transportation to and from tournaments and transportation to and from practices. High Line requires receipt of payment in full immediately upon acceptance of position. Payments can be made by personal check or money order. If a credit card is preferred, you may do so with an additional payment of $75 to cover processing fees incurred through PayPal by the club. If a payment plan were to be considered by the club, the member must: a) be a former High Line player, and b) pay an additional $100 fee.
The COST of the upcoming season for our WHITE dues will be $1100 all inclusive for the season (based on 11-12 on the team). If there are 9 or 10 players on the team, the cost will increase by $150. Different than past years, these teams will practice 2 times per week.
As you can see there are a lot of expenses associated with club volleyball. We hope you will join the High Line VBC as your club of choice. Our 'one price' helps you better budget the costs of club volleyball. We offer this pricing so that the only other thing you have to worry about from a cost perspective is transportation and food.
